The Akademi has the following 3 Departments for the fulfilment of aims and objectives for which Telugu Akademi was established:
Telugu Akademi conducts research and survey initiatives to understand needs, improve content, support standards, and preserve linguistic heritage.
Telugu Akademi offers teaching and training programs that improve language learning, research skills, academic development, and cultural understanding
Telugu Akademi publishes academic books, reference materials, study guides, dictionaries, and educational resources to strengthen Telugu language development.
The coordinated work of these three departments promotes a smooth switch-over to Telugu as Medium of Instruction and Language of Administration at all levels.
